In an effort to boost employment prospects and bridge the skills gap, Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy announced that a two-day ‘Kaushal Mahotsav’ will be organized for the Secunderabad Lok Sabha constituency. This job mela, which aims to connect job-seekers with prospective employers, is scheduled to take place on June 3 and 4 at the esteemed National Skill Training Institute in Vidyanagar.

The event anticipates the participation of 220 renowned companies from diverse sectors such as pharmaceuticals, banking, and hospitality. Individuals between the ages of 18 and 35 years will have the opportunity to attend interviews for jobs across various domains.

Minister Kishan Reddy highlighted that the job mela would welcome individuals who have not cleared Class 8, as well as those who have completed their post-graduation. Recognizing the importance of skill development, he emphasized that in case some participants do not secure employment during the mela, the institute will provide them with necessary training to enhance their skills.

Kishan Reddy assured that all possible efforts would be made to conduct similar events in the future, ensuring ample employment opportunities for the attendees. He also highlighted the government’s commitment to skill development across disciplines, mentioning various initiatives undertaken by the Centre.
