MG Motor, the renowned British brand owned by the Chinese car giant SAIC, has unveiled its latest addition to the lineup – the Gloster Blackstorm edition. Priced at Rs 40.30 lakh, this premium SUV made its debut at a Delhi showroom on Monday.

The Gloster Blackstorm edition stands out with its captivating all-black exterior, complemented by striking red accents on the steering wheel, headlamps, bumpers, and brake calipers. Enhancing its visual appeal are the black roof rails, smoked taillights, black window surrounds, and fender and fog lamp garnish, all contributing to its stylish and sleek design.

Step inside, and you’ll be greeted by an all-black interior with tasteful red highlights. The dark-themed leatherette seat upholstery features red stitches, adding a touch of luxury to the cabin. Additionally, the Blackstorm edition boasts a range of impressive features such as a dual panoramic sunroof, a 12-way power-adjustable driver seat with massage and ventilation functions, ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System), and an all-terrain system equipped with seven modes: Snow, Mud, Sand, Eco, Sport, Normal, and Rock.

Seating options are available for six or seven passengers, catering to different preferences. The Gloster Blackstorm edition offers both 2WD and 4WD variants, making it suitable for diverse driving conditions.

Under the hood, the SUV retains its mechanical specifications. Powered by a 2.0-litre diesel engine, the Gloster is available in two states of tune. The single-turbo version delivers 161 BHP and 375 Nm of torque, while the twin-turbo variant offers a more robust performance with 215 BHP and 480 Nm of torque. The latter also comes with a shift-on-fly 4WD system, providing enhanced off-road capabilities. Both engine tunes are paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission as a standard feature.
